this is really dumb but I finished 6 rounds of chemo about 6 weeks ago and the hair on top of my head is coming back but not my pubic or underarm hair. Has anyone had this happen? Does it take longer or will it never come back? Thanks Lorrie

    Hey Lorrie,
I found it rather interesting that I lost all the hair on my head, privates and underarms but didn't loose the nasty hairs on my chin.
You will find it will take a little longer for the hair to return to the other parts of you. I think we are lucky if we didn't loose the eyebrows, some do.
Hang in there before to long you will have more hair than what you want. Let us know if your hair head is changed. Some come back quite different than before treatments. Have some fun with it.....

    Hi Lorrie,

I don't want to make light of your 'problem' but if it never comes back, what if it were reversed and the hair in these areas came back, but not on your head?
Now that would be much more of a problem ( I think)

    Good Luck!

Lorrie, It comes back. Does take a little longer. It has been one year since my first chemo and now I have hair in all the right places again. Hair on my head is pixie length now. I did not lose my eyebrows, although they did thin and the hair that we must take off on our upper lip never did go away. Wouldn't you know....the one place you want it to fall away and it stays !!! You will soon be Lorrie again. Lv, Nancy

I had to laugh about the chin hairs ... ain't that the kicker ... I lost eye brows, eye lashes, leg, arm, under arm, pubic hair ...but those tough little chin hairs .. they just hung on!!!!

You're right, that would be far worse but there is no need to get sarcastic, we are all affected differently by the outcome of our treatment. Lorrie

I disagree wholeheartedly with you that I sent a sarcastic reply which I would never do and I'm sorry you misunderstood.
