This is new to me also.
I became aware only in September.
I am experiencing "sensations" and am highly curious about what they mean.
Please discuss your experiences.
I don't know if you check messages. I am new to this site and just created my webpage. I am not familiar with "sensations" please describe. My page is titled: Dancing Through the Intermissions. Write if you are interested in corresponding and sharing information about your Melanoma.
Thank you.
Good luck.
Linda
Wow kido,
hang in there.
tell me about the "sensations" you have experienced and what you think they mean.
My first experience with this began just in Sept. so know next to nothing.
How large was it and what do the Dr's say to you about it?
My doctors want me to undergo a lymph node disection on my right side. I saw on your web site you have had this procedure. Can you tell me honestly how it might affect the use of my right arm and the things I can expect if I decide to have it done?
Yes, I have had it. It caused me no problems at all except for ocassinal "shooting" pain through the area. You just must be careful to not have blood drawn from or have your blood pressure taken on that side anymore. You have to do excercises right after surgery. DO THEM. I understand that makes all the difference in the world. Feel free to e-mail me at gnail@sky.net
Hang in there, my husband was diagnosed in September of last year and is dealing well with it. I can understand very much about being frightened, melanoma has some successful treatments these days.
I certainly understand how frightened you are! I was dx. with Ocular Melanoma 4 years ago- It is very unusual type. I had radiation plaque therapy to stop the growth. The scary part for my type is that it usually goes to the liver. I have been going through catscans etc to make sure it doesn't spread. I just finished one today. Now the waiting game!. It doesn't get any easier does it? You have survived so much and you will make it through this too!!! My prayers are with you. Judy.
