    Hi Tinacap 77:

I was diagnosed in February of 2011 with Stage 1 of UPSC and was given 6 rounds of carboplatin and taxol and 3 rounds of brachytherapy.  I started chemo in April of 2011 and completed chemo in August of 2011.  I then started 3 rounds of brachytherapy in Sept of 2011 and finished in mid October of 2011.   I have been seeing an oncologist once a year to be sure everything is okay and most likely will be seeing him for the rest of my life.  UPSC, as you know, is a very scary cancer so don't leave it to chance - go for checkups and bloodwork as well.

Hello Fayard, that is very inspiring, no recurrence. I have just finished chemo and vaginal brachytherapy for stage 2 UPSC, I pray my treatment is as effective. Do you take any supplements?

    5yrs

I completed treatment 5 years ago this month for Stage IIIC1, Grade 3, Mixed 50% Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma (EAC) and 50% Uterine Serous Carcinoma (USC).  Treatment began with having both radiation and chemo on my first day of treatment; 2 rounds of Cisplatin 3 weeks apart along with 28 external radiation treatments.  Followed by 4 rounds of carboplatin/paclitaxel targeted 3 weeks apart.

    Diagnosed 2005

    Hi Tina:

Diagnosed in September 2005 with Grade 2, Stage 3A Endometrial Adenocarcinoma.   It was questionable as to what the primary was as they never did find one.  I had it in my cervix, uterus and left ovary.  I had chemo and brachytherapy.  Since then I have had 2 recurrences (without treatment, just surgery).   Still working, etc.

    Hello,

My mom was diagnosed in September after biopsy/ followed by CT/abdomen, pelvis, thoracic, with Endometrial Serous Carcinoma (Type 2, grade 3) Tumor too big for surgery, doing chemo to shrink the tumor, so she can have surgery. Early 70, healthy, up to last month when spotting and going to the doctor.
