I have not had a recurrence

I have not had a recurrence but wanted to send my support to you. I'm glad you still have options if you find this current treatment is not helping.

    Stay strong Fluff.

    Love and Hugs,

    Good to see you here

I had uterine cancer last year, but it was a stage 1a endometrioid. This year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I'm goig through chemo before surgery.

I haven't had a recurrence for uterine, either, but sending you love and hugs. Hoping and praying that your chemo IS working, despite your suspicion that it is not.

    I have recurred four times.

I have recurred four times. My main symptom each time has been pain, sometimes quite sharp. Twice I could feel lumps under the muscles in my abdomen.

    Pain

My recent recurrence was diagnosed after intense sharp pain in my lower right side. No spotting, no other sign.

    Hip pain

My late recurrence was diagnosed by my orthopedic doctor.  I had reported hip pain to the gyn/onc.  After a clear CT scan (2 years after surgery), we concluded it was arthritis as it was intermittent and was often relieved by activity.  Eventually (4 years later) it got worse and I went to my ortho, who ordered an MRI which revealed the pelvic mass invading the hip joint.  They went back and looked at the first CT and still could find no evidence of the recurrence there.

    gradual pain

For both of my recurrences, I experienced gradual pain.  I usually don't take any medication but  I started having gradual pain and maybe take Motrin a couple times a week.   Until eventually I was taking it daily.  When I was taking it daily I was concerned.   That's how I found my recurrences - both confirmed by biopsies.   On PET Scans, there was only a small FDG uptake.   I have a lot of scarring so it is hard to tell sometimes on scans, etc.

    I remember you

It's good to see you back. I didn't know the breast cancer diagnosis was just 4 days later. Glad you to see you're OK and that this was a long time ago.

Adriamycin damaged my heart a bit, and when we were finding that out 11/17, right before I was supposed to start Taxol, Herceptin and Perjeta (long day), my family, where I was staying came down with the coronavirus. I had to leave the house and come back miles away to my boyfriend's, where I've been till now.

I also became anemic while on these four Adriamycin treatments; I couldn't walk a block without having to sit down. And I told the doctor I nearly fainted the day I was taking the Covid test. So they decided to just give me two units of blood on Thursday and I'll go back on the 29th. I can finally brush my teeth while standing and go up a little stairs without getting out of breath.
