What blood tests indicated your cancer?

Can anyone share which particular blood tests indicated the presence of bone cancer?

I am asking for my mom who is in very poor physical condition without any diagnosis yet. She has bruising that will not go away, weakness, has lost 15 pounds, has severe pain in left hip and says her legs feel so weak and she falls a few times a week and someone has to pick her up. She lays in bed all day and only gets up with the assistance of a walker to go to the bathroom.  This has been ongoing for nearly a year and she is only getting worse.

She went to an oncology hematologist who orderd a BMP, CBC and a renal panel. Her platelet count was high at 635 and she has very low blood sodium level around 110 and a high BUN ratio.  The doctor said none of these indicated the presence of cancer and offered no other course of action.  She has had a CT scan and MRI of her hip and the only thing they found was a torn tendon. No cyst, no mass.

Any insight on tests performed to obtain a diagnosis would be appreciated. Thanks and blessings to you all.

    based on what I learned,

based on what I learned, blood tests are a very poor diagnostic tool in general, except for, well, blood cancer. In some rare ocasions, there will be some markers that can indicate something unusual, but it is rarely a final diagnostic. CT scan followed by biopsy is the only way to diagnose solid tumors.

    In addition to a physical

In addition to a physical examination, the following tests may be used to diagnose bone cancer: Blood tests. Some laboratory blood tests may help find bone cancer. People with osteosarcoma or Ewing sarcoma may have higher alkaline phosphatase and lactate dehydrogenase levels in the blood. A protein that stores iron in the body and is important in red blood cell production.
