    Sleep issues

I know the Decadron steroid I take with my infusions make it very hard to sleep for the first three days. I haven’t really found a solution, except to be willing to nap during the days as needed and I’m catching my up on a lot of TV shows I never watched when I was working! The Decadron really helps my severe nausea, so I’m willing to deal with it.

    Wine has an anti cancer

Wine has an anti cancer effect? I have been wondering how hard it is on the liver while I am on chemo. I would love to have a glass maybe once every two weeks. I am so worried about doing anything stressful to my liver since it will be getting chemo for so long.

    Very recent resveratrol article

A number studies have supported the potential effects of resveratrol in CRC treatment. This polyphenol compound represents different properties including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, apoptosis inducer, and anti-angiogenesis efficacy. Due to these significant effects, resveratrol is suggested as a novel therapeutic agent for cancers. Moreover, some studies reported that consumption of resveratrol in combination with other anti-cancer drugs can increase their effects and also decrease their side effects. Thus, this multi-tasking compound can be a new candidate in CRC treatment however, more human studies are needed.

    Jim is having sleep issues

He is now taking Remeron to get to sleep and it is working beautifully. I take Trazadone for my sleep issues, I have bad anxiety and my mind races at night. as Alice was saying it is an antidepressant but it works well for sleep. Someone else mentioned dementia with Bendryl and I have seen the studies on that myself and am very concerned with long term use, I have to take it quite often for my autoimmune condition. Funny though my body must be so used to it, I do not get sleepy at all from it anymore. And those that have ADHD, have the opposite effect and will get very wired. Talk to your doctor and see what they would recommend as there are so many options. Ambiem scares the bejesus out of me, and if it was me, I would not take it. My dad would sleepwalk when he was on it...Even tried to drive to McDonalds, thank GOD we had the car disabled because of his dementia I would hate to think what would have happened! I do have a friend that uses and is fine with it but.....as with all meds everyone reacts differently. Hope you find what works and get some rest!
