Oh my goodness. I have been on Tamoxifen for 8 months now and I am so miserable. The hot flashes, night sweats, leg and toe cramps are horrible. I have tried so many things. I have found that an Epsom salt soak once a week has gotten rid of my leg cramps. I've only done the soak three times so far (the past three weeks) and I haven't had any cramps. There must be something out here to help with these hot flashes. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share.

    So sorry

So sorry you have to endure these hotflashes.  UGH.  They do taper down but I have never been able to get rid of them.  It is hard to do but try to cut out as much stress as you can to your life.  Stress can bring extras you dont need.  Ice water on the bed stand.  Fan in the window blowing in but not directly on you.

The leg cramps ugh they are so awful.  Sometimes I am in a hot soak at 2 AM for my legs.   I am the gal who cant stand my feet covered.  I have noticed if I move them too fast when rolling over or getting up out of bed, I will instantly get a huge cramp in my feet and calf.  So I try to be mindful and slowly slowly put them under the covers and warm them a little before I make a move.

Keep fighting warrior.  HUGS and Prayers going up for you for better days.

    Annie

    Gabapentin saved my life.

Gabapentin saved my life.  After I found out about it, I just called my onc and he prescribed it.  Look it up.  I wish they would tell more women about it instead of letting them waste their time with herbal remedies.  I wasn't sleeping, then getting depressed.  Felt like I was going to pass out in my too hot classroom. best wishes

    My doctor gave me wellbutrine

My doctor gave me wellbutrine believe or not it has helped me alot. I take it twice a day. I thought he was crazy an anti depressant for hot flashes but it helped me. Hope this helps also when you sleep keep your room cool fan on. I know spicy food is no good to. And most of all dress in layers that helps with the hot flashes makes it less torturous if you can shed clothes. OK hope this helps you
