    I'm normally much more closed

But on here I feel like I share a certain level of intimacy with everyone on here with all of our stories and shared experiences. On other places I use an alias, but on here, I actually want you folks to know my name really is Thomas.

    Wierd, but true.

    I love cruising...

I came to Canada from Europe many years ago. My dream was to travel, and eventually I discovered cruising, which became my favorite way of traveling and enjoying oceans, islands, beaches and everything coming with being on a ship.

That plus my name and my age + suzycruise76

8 is the number of children

8 is the number of children we have. 8 is also a lucky number for Chinese. Wrap it around colon for good result plus I wasn't sure how personal this board gets.  My wife's name is Stephanie and I am Patrick.

    Patrick

Thanks for posting as I've got 8 children also - 14 grandkids.  Didn't know 8 was a lucky number - always thought it was 7 so now we have two lucky numbers Laughing

    Love of Blues Music

Mojogirl67...My husband and I were both huge blues music fans. "Mojo" is a term you often hear in blues and 67 is my birth year. (yes, lol, I am that old). When my husband and I met, I had mojogirl as my car tag and it stuck. My husband started to use it and I added 67 to it when I needed an email name.

    Original

That's very original and unique.  Well if you were born in 67 that makes me 9 years older than you so I'm really old then LOL.  Hope you are feeling better and enjoying your time in the mountains.

    Username reason

I recieved my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2001.  At that time I was 33 years old and had been out of school and working blue collar jobs for over 15 years.  I got hurt on the job (back injury) so in 1998 I was forced to stop working the job I was in and use my brain instead of my back. LOL

Anyway, that is my username LSU2001.  I have toyed with the idea of changing the name to LSU2004 because that is when I got my masters in Educational Administration, but I haven't pulled the trigger on that one.

    BTW, Great thread ideaCool

    Masters

Congratulations on your degree.  It's hard to change a name once you've been used to it for so long.  I'm still Annabelle41415 and that was 19 years ago.  Still can't bring myself to change it.

I am not that creative, lol I am just the Twinz ma. I have been using this as my screen name to everything since my twins were born...The s is always taken so I went with the "z"

    Blessed

Well you are doubly blessed.  See you were creative to use the z instead of s.

    name

I was born n the territory of Hawaii. I surfed my entire life. The impactzone is where the waves break. Too far out you do not catch the waves and too far inside you get worked by the whitewater.

I had someone tell me after

I had someone tell me after surviving my third cancer battle that I was like a Phoenix continuing to rise from the ashes.  I just liked that analogy.  It also relates to my Christian faith and being reborn. Of course the 66 is when I was born. Btw my name is Brett.

Butt. Would you agree that it is an important body part? We want it healthy, too.

    Butt

It says it all and we all know exactly what you are talking about.  Your name is probably the easiest to relate to.

Inits and part of last name

No, I'm not into belly rubs (well, maybe!) but my screen name is my first 2 initials (Alice B.) and part of my last name.  Some of you know my full name, but for privacy's sake, I do keep that to myself.

    Alice B. R.

    Wow

Always did think you liked your ab rubbed LOL.  Knew your name was Alice but never connected it and yes it's good to keep some things private.

    Don't like

Don't like bosses micro managing, had a good boss that would and I kept telling him it was none ya business how we did things but that we did our job. He called me Noneya one day over pa to his office........ name just stuck, before that everone just called me by my last name.

    That's too funny

That is so funny but totally agree with you about the micro managing.  Bet you had to laugh at him when he announced your nick name over the loud speaker one day to let you know you were needed.  Great story.

Thanks for chiming in and it's good to see you post since 2016.  Hope you are doing well and you should add to others on the board and their stories if you feel like it since you feel like you can share in some of the experiences.  Everyone's journey is different but we all have a similar diagnosis or know of one that is (or has) gone through it.
