Hello All

Has anyone had the procedure? Or, have any knowledge on this. They have recently came to St. Louis. I dropped off my last two CTscans on Friday and hoping to get good news that I’m a candidate for the procedur. Cause i feel like my doctor has quit on me. My last visit he told me I could try Lonsurf. Or, just go home and enjoy my time. I just don’t understand. Yesterday I extended my walk a half mile. Which was tough cause I have a bad case of neuropathy in my feet. Which has been with me since I went through my Oxy cocktail two years ago. I have absolutely no symptoms. I have 3 mets are roughly 2 to 3 cm. They are in 2 lobes. But, to the far outside of the lobes. I’m refude to just ride off into the sunset. I’m also doctor shopping. God has blessed me in finding you wonderful people. I’ve gone from poor me to my warrior mode. Thanks to all for making me feel welcome.

Enjoy your day, Dennis

I don’t have any experience in this

my husband is the one who has cancer and his keeps coming back in the liver. I will tell you don’t give up, and don’t stay with a dr who will give up. Keep going for second, third, fourth opinions, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. There are many here that will have more to experience to offer than me.

Thank you for the encouragemen. I won’t quit. I was just telling the family that I am seriously thinking of going to Canada. They have already approved the new immune Therapy drug for CRC.

    Thank you, Dennis

    Cyberknife - response

I have had cyberknife treatment to address lung mets.  It is a targeted form of radiation.  To address the 2 lung mets, I underwent 5 days (maybe 20 minutes each?) of treatment, similar to radiation, but with a different machine.

    Hello Dennis

I haven't done cyberknife and I don't think I will ever be.  Heck, even chemo is an out-of-the-pocket expense to me (I'm not from the US) and its very fortune draining that considering expensive surgical procedures is already out of the question.  Prayer is my strongest weapon.  I just want to say don't let the thought of the doctor giving up on you linger on your head.  They may have the expertise on the matter, but nothing beats your own mind in taking control and exploring other options.

    I'm not able to help

Sorry I'm not able to help you with this question but I'm glad that you are doctor shopping.  I'm hoping that you are taking something for your neuropathy (if you wish) as I'm not able to go a single day without my medication.  My neuropathy drives me crazy if I'm late taking it.  Good for you on walking as exercise is not only good for you, but helps the circulation in the feet.  Wishing you well, and glad you found this board.  We don't like to add new members, but are greatful for the ones that seek us out so we can help.  Prayers for you.

Thank you so much for your response. If I could ask. What were the size of your mets? And, was the result a successful on? If you know. What is the determining facator if your a candidate for the procedure? Again, thank you so much for your help.
