    Me tooo

I had surgery a couple of weeks ago.  A small 2.7cm tumor on my left kidney.  The path report showed it had broken containment so they classified it as a t3a N0 M0...My margins were negative and nothing in the lymph nodes.  My surgeon was optimistic when he called, but I still get the dark thoughts.  I have my sit down meeting with him next week so I'll be armed with many more questions.  Some of the stuff I've seen online says a lot depends on the size of the tumor.  If it's smalleer than 7cm, your progosis is much better than if it's bigger than 7cm.

I'm going to be doing everything I can to make myself as healthy as possible to give myself the best possbile chance.  Doctors will say there's nothing you can do, but I don't totally believe that.

Hi, i am stage t3a with renal

Hi, i am stage t3a with renal vein invasion. 9.5 cm. Surgery was three years ago, follow-up every six months since then, no mets. I am in great shape, trying to live my life like before cancer. Not everyone has my chance, i am aware of that, but i wanted you to know it is possible.

    approaching 6 years

I am stage 3a, grade 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma (5.8cm) with renal vein (collateral veins) and fat extension. I am approaching 6 years with no evidence of recurrence. I have become more confident of the future as time has gone by. I know it is hard at the start but try to stay positive and keep up those 6 monthly scans. All the best.
