    It could just be constipation

It could just be constipation. When I'm a nervous wreck as I'm sure you are I can get plugged up for days and feeling the same way.  Lower back back pain, that constant icky feeling, etc.  This was long before I got cancer and the two weren't related.  I still am constipated even though I've had the tumour removed but now I'm waiting on the next phase of follow up chemo so on and so forth so I have a lot to be nervous about.  BTW, a colonoscopy and or endoscopic are probably the two best ways to detect it.  I only wish they came back and told me the same thing as what you heard. Try this.  Get some Senna S and give it a go for a few days.  If that doesn't work then you can go with Castor oil. A word of caution.  With castor oil you better be within 30 seconds of a bathroom.

    Fight it!

Heaven knows, you've paid your premiums, now make them pay up. Insurance companies make me sick!

I hope they get to the bottom (no pun intended) of your medical problem, soon.

I'd haul out their policy to

I'd haul out their policy to see what is and what isn't covered and, if it's like the policy that I have, it isn't specifically mentioned. I can't see how rectal bleeding isn't covered (mine certainly was) in a medical sense as most would consider it a severe problem. Best wishes for a good resolution. I have spent a few hours myself on the phone dealing with health insurance coverage issues though I haven't had any problems with the cancer stuff so far.

    Insurance

Have you contacted your insurance again about paying for your hospital stay?  Just last year I went around and around about 9 months for paying for a surgery they considered "not covered".  But my doctor, me and another doctor all agreed it was necessary and then it took a year for them to realize this and pay for it. It took a lot of phone calls, begging and pleading and a lot of work on the doctor's end, but they ended up paying for it.  Get your doctor involved.  It can make a big difference.
