Very Good Pet Scan Results

Hi Ladies:

I have some very good news regarding the recurrent UPSC cancer I was diagnosed with in October of 2016.  I had a pet scan done this past Tuesday the (17th of October) and there is NO evidence of cancer or even a trace of it. My CA number came way down to a normal range in May of this year and has stayed at a normal range ever since. This is really great news for me and a tremendous relief.  I did not need chemo which was really good for me all these past months that have gone by since my numbers remained at a low range and then they went to a normal range. I do have to have some blood work done in early November for my CA level and then I go back and see my oncologist on November 8th so I will find out what will I need to do for the future that is how often I will need to go for a scan or even blood work. I am thinking maybe once or twice a year for these 2 tests, and that is totally up to my oncologist as to whatever he decides and wants me to do.

For now, I plan to enjoy my life and live each day to the fullest and will make every day count.  I am so very grateful though to my family and friends for keeping me in their thoughts and prayers over the past year due to my recurrent cancer diagnosis from a year ago.   I will though hope and ask that you do say some prayers for me for the future that I can continue to live with NO Evidence of Disease.  I wil continue with my very good eating habits of No bacon or sausage and pork roll.  I might have a hot dog maybe once or twice a year and that is only one.

Anyone that is fighting UPSC or any other type of a uterine cancer, my heart and prayers go out to you and to continue to keep on fighting this disease with everything you have.  You can get through this as chemo is very doable.   I know UPSC is a very sneaky and a very aggressive cancer.  When I was first diagnosed over 6 years ago, I was fortunate to have been diagnosed with an early stage of UPSC and went through chemo and brachytherapy.

I wil be followed by my oncologist most likely for the rest of my life which is really good and it will give a me a great piece of mind since I recently have had a recurrent cancer diagnosis as well as over 6 years ago when I was first diagnosed.   I probably will have to go for tests and blood work once or twice a year.  I will keep you ladies posetd should anything change with me, and I will be checking on the Uterine Board probably on a once a week or even two week basis to see how everyone is doing.

I do wish all of the ladies on the Uterine Board All the Best with your fighting this cancer.

Cheerful

a/k/a Jane

    Hi Ladies:

Thanks to all the ladies that have responded to my recent post. I so appreciate your thoughts and good wishes for me as it means a lot to me.  I hope I can continue to remain with No evidence of disease for the future.  I do plan on looking at the Board every week or two to see the posts.  Should anything change for me, I will let you ladies know.

I want all of you ladies to keep on fighting UPSC and do Not ever, ever give up hope.  We do need more research on our cancer and hope there is a permanent cure down the road for our rare and aggressive disease.

    Cheerful
