    I always say a rhat a problem only becomes a problem if you let it stop you from living the life you want to live. And that is most of the time your decision and your attitude.

    Good reads, heartaching, I wish I'd read them before the onc called me. Oh well, my good news is always tempered by others plights since Cindy was diagnosed. Reminds me of Kipling's "If".  "If you, can meet with triumph and disaster....And treat those two imposters just the same". I particularly like the last stanza, "If you can fill the unforgiving minute....With sixty seconds worth of distance run....Your's is the Earth, and everything that's in it....And which is more--You'll be a man, my son."  Thank's Pop..........................................Dave

    On The Second One

    When I tell my patients that I had just finished chemo or had my second surgery, the look in their eyes changes.  "Oh, you get it." So in a weird way, it is a "good" thing which has come out of having cancer.

    My Primary Care Physician is a cancer survivor

    She's been especially helpful, as she "gets" it.  She also had an incisional hernia repaired, and warned me that it really is a painful recovery.

    That was a great artical and very true.  You don't really get it unless you have lived it and this is something you would not want anyone else to live.

    Cancer surgery backed up in England

    Wating is hard enough as it is. Not being able to even be scheduled for surgery must be truly frightening.

    I hope I made the right decision, being honest. Of course, my boys are adults, but still have a close relationship with me because they are not yet married.

    So interesting

    Just diagnosed with recurrent liver metastisas. Doc immediately said that new blood test dna360 was much more sensitive than cea Test.  Said that pre and post op levels would determine whether adjuvant chemo was necessary. Don't know about pre- diagnosi.
