Hi All,

I had my surgery Oct. 1st of last year. Rencently I've noticed some swelling in my feet and sometimes puffier than usual eyes in the mornings. It seems like after my cancer everything worries me. Is this something I should be overly concerned about?

Thanks for the help.

    Check with doctor

    Lisa1k.

Check with your GP and if any of your Kidney numbers are off by more than a little, ask for a referral to a Nephrologist. Keep in mind that by definition our Kidney function numbers may be less than our 2 kidney brothers and sisters. My swelling went doown after I lost 35 pounds 2 years ago. I am 14 years post neph.

    Thanks

My weight is good. About 120lbs but I am 10lbs heavier than at the time of surgery. It's been hot also and I realize that could have something to do with it. I might be a little paranoid but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

    Swelling

I'm 6 years out and only weigh 120 pounds, but around the 3rd year started noticing swelling of my feet and legs. Low and behold it was a kidney infection in my only kidney. You need to get that checked asap. I ended up getting Chronic Kidney Disease cause I waited too long due to being scared of a third cancer diagnoses. Now I'm having to have major bladder and kidney surgery due to multiple infections in both. Ended up being I have Diverticuli pockets hanging from my bladder trapping bacteria causi bladder infections that I couldn't catch til it had reached my kidney and I was very sick. Get it checked out asap, go to a urologist, then nephrologist.
