The good:

In 6 days I will be a 73 years young going on 74.

Nine days later I will be 14 years NED going on 15.

The uncertain:

I am going Thursday for a PSA and other bloodwork follow up from my visit 3 weeks ago. According to the Prostate CSN discussion board I am probably looking at a Prostate Biopsy

The good:

I already have a Urologist lined up (one of the Perks of Kidney Cancer).

The bad:

If I have to join the Prostate board I will not meet any new ladies.

    New ladies and happy anniversary...

There are daughters, sisters, grandaughters, mothers, female friends, wives, and female caregivers on the prostate board, I'm sure.  I'd think they'd count for being women / ladies, yes?

    Congrats on the double anniversary!

As an almost 73 year old guy I think I am slowing down in the lady department and you are throwing me too many gals at me at once.

    Grand Rapids, slowing down...

OK, Iceman, you may be slowing down, but you did bring it up first (the topic of meeting gals) Laughing . So you've obviously not stopped...

As for doggies, our current dog-in-residence and therefore dog-in-the-photo is a Maltese-(and-who-knows-what-kind-of-)terrier mix. He weighs about 12 pounds, sometimes a little more.  It depends on how much attitude he's sporting (as well as how much catfood he's managed to sneak) on any given day. And, yes, on cold winter nights he really rocks his hoodie. He's the first dog we've had that DEMANDS to wear clothes when it's cold (Unlike some dogs that freeze in place when they're put in a sweater or dressed in doggy boots, he velcroes himself to the floor and won't be budged until you haul out the sweater or t-shirt or hoodie or whatever).

Those Daisy Dogs are cuties. I grew up with a beagle from just down the road from the Daisy Dogs, from a kennel along Crockery Creek, in Crockery Township, Nunica area.  He was supposed to be a hunting dog for my dad, but his approach to life was pretty much, "Can't we all just get along?" On hunting trips, he mainly enjoyed the ride and a romp through the woods.  My father was seriously aghast one day to discover the dog had gone over to the other side and was hosting a family of bunnies in his dog run, under his dog house.  I wouldn't be surprised if they joined him inside his toasty warm doghouse on cold winter nights.  He was that kind of guy.

We have family reunions every two years in the area (my mother's family, not the bunnies or beagles).  Would love to meet Piper (oh, and if you're around, I'd say, "Hi," too -- wouldn't want to have you feel left out Wink ).

    All clear for now

Saw the Uro today and results of new 4k Prostate Score are low risk of 5% for lifetime. Follow ups now of 6 months on PSA. Tomorrow I will be 73 years young. Forgot to ask if I could still have more kids.

    Just kidding

At least my wife knew I was kidding. I think. She didn't want anymore now that she will be 72 anyway. And how could we explain it to our 5 grandchildren, 14 to 20. They even think their parents are old.

    I don't think you'd have much trouble...

With the explaining, that is.  Kids 14 to 20 understand that stuff (although they generally think it's gross that their parents... you know...).

Funny, with grandparents, it's not exactly the same, because we seem to "get" each other.  As Sam Levenson said, "The reason grandparents and grandchildren get along so well is that they have a common enemy." I've always thought that "enemy" was too strong a word, but until I think of a better one, it'll do.

However, I also think having babies after 50 would send me screaming out the door.
