    Welcome

    Ana,

Welcome to the club which no one in their right mind would volunteer to join. At 4 cm it is unlikely you will have recurrance. My tumor was similar size when they yanked it out almost 14 years ago. As for the nodules on your lung, you, I and many others whether they have Kidney Cancer or not have similar nodules on the lung. Those under 8mm and which do not showgrowth are generally harmless. Hopefully no growth and you will be fine.

    Hi Ana

Wilkommen, bien venue, welcome. As Iceman said no one wants to be here, but you'll find we are a very supportive lot. Your English is very good as is your prognosis I think. Your lmp is small and not spreading so it may just be a case of cutting it out and monitoring it. In any case the science of cancer treatment is moving very fast.

I would say that (apart from the word CANCER!!!!) yours is pretty good news. You found it early so its treatable, and you found it in such a time that its getting more treatable than ever.

    I agree with everyone; not

I agree with everyone; not only is it a low stage but also the best possible grade you could have so I wouldn't be too worried. A grade one is very non-aggressive and is highly unlikely to have spread anywhere. It's also possible that your kidney tumor was there in 2013 but was not picked up. Nodules are common but if you want a total peace of mind as for a chest CT scan. Wishing you the very best!

    Welcome Ana

As others have stated, your English is fine and your tumor was caught in an early stage.  Chances of recurrence are slim.  If those lung nodules are creating anxiety, request further testing to put your mind at rest, so you can move forward with your life and enjoy that baby.

I'm familiar with the earthquakes in Japan and hoping that you weren't in an area so devastated by them.  We have friends in Japan but luckily they are further north in the country and weren't affected.

I'm not English speaker either, members of this board are very willing to help others especially newbies so don't hesitate to ask all your question and share your feelings(if you want to) , they understand you and it's best to be understood. If you're willing to have more scientific information it's good to join smartpatients.com , our board in CSN is more about emotional  support.

As others mentioned your pathology report is what any kidney cancer patient wish to have, grade 1, stage 1 is good, by the way those nodules in your lung could be nothing serious but in a servivour's case we should be careful so check it with a oncologist who is expert in rcc cancer just to make sure it's nothing serious. A young mom has enough to be worried so keep being optimistic as much as you can( I know it's easier said than done) I was also 36 once they told me about my cancer 21 months ago, so I remember how frustrating the news was and how shocked and hopeless I was, but time helps and time heals( as one of the members told me 21 months ago but I didn't believe, it took me at least 7-8 months to be able to be back on track) we'll never be the same that we used to be but we find a new normality which isn't as bad or frightening as it looks during first month's after diagnosis.

Don't forget grade 1 stage 1 is best outcome we could expect and you have it
