My mom recently diagnoses with stage 4 bladder cancer that mestasized to her bone

My mom is a 52 year old who was always on the go. A little over a week ago she got diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer that has now spread to her bone. She is pain from her bone and can not ve as active as she always has and she is suffering from that. She starts chemo on Tuesday but it will be a low dose and monitored very carefully because she only has one kidney due to cancer in the other one last year and that had to be removed.  With out chemo her oncologist  gives her 1 year and with chemo he gives her 5 to 6 years hoping the kidney handles the chemo well. My life has been ahattered and turned upside down. I love my mom and dont want to see her hurting and dont want to loose her. Sorry, just needed t vent a bit. This is all just freightening.

My mom is in same situation....

My mom is 71 and was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer in July 2015. It too has mestasized to her femur, arm and lung. She just had her second bladder surgery. Her femur is now splintering/fracturing causing her extensive pain and swelling. She is scheduled to have rods put in to stabilize the femur. In the meantime it could snap at any time - breaking her leg. I understand your comments about not wanting to see your mom hurting nor as active as they once were. I watched my dad pass from lung and spine cancer 10 years ago. Causing my agony reliving those painful memories and the thought of having to now watch my mom go through it too.
