So I had a partial nephrectomy in July 2013 with stage 1 grade 2 RCC of the ever popular clear cell variety tumor removed. In September 2013 I had a scan and it showed a 1.2 cm cyst in the "interpolar region" of the same kidney. The adrenal glands were normal. All of my chest x-rays since have been clear. Now, at 2 years out, I have another CT scan that shows that same cyst is now 2.2 cm and there is "nodular thickening of the medial limb of the right adrenal gland with measured attenuation of -17 HU on non-contrast images" then the impression calls it a probable adrenal adenoma. I was scheduled to see the Oncologist for the CT review yesterday but he got called for emergency surgery and had to cancel . I'm not scheduled to see him now until Nov 5th and I'm just wondering if I should panic or not before then......

I'm not a physician but since

I'm not a physician but since it has grown I would want to see my ocnolgist sooner than Nov 5. If no other reason than peace of mind. Waiting to hear results/diagnoses is the worst. At least for me. So perhaps insist on an earlier appointment given these new results, which will hopefullly turn out to be nothing of concern.

    Don't Worry be Happy ;-)

I would not worry; if the radiologist thought it was cancer or was suspicious he would have written it in the report. For right now your doctors probably will take a watch and wait approach. - BDS
