In recovery

Hello all, the past 6 weeks has been crazy, from starting to pass blood, to my scans and finding I have a have a large mass on my left Kidney, then surgery and now recovery. My surgery went well. They ended up taking out more than expected but felt it was contained and wanted to make sure they got it all. When they were finished they had removed about a football sized mass. I was in the hospital for 5 days but am home now and getting stronger everyday. The best news is that while my pathology report came back with stage 3 cancer, they said it was contained and I do not need any more treatment at this point. I do have my first followup scan scheduled in 3 months already, so now the wait and see will start. Thanks to those who reponded to my first posts, the support helped a lot. If anyone has questions I will be glad to help as much as possible.

So glad it's behind you; now

So glad it's behind you; now focus on your recovery. As I said in your other thread, walk as much as possible and drink lots of water. Good that they're on top o fit with the three month follow up. Wishing you the best!

May your recovery be smooth and uneventful.

I would say painless, but then everyone would laugh at me.
