Chest pain leading to CT, Need Prayers

I hope it all comes back negative. The worry and stress of waiting is awful. Try to focus on how all the other tests showed that nothing was wrong and that probably these will also show NED.

I am two years plus from my surgery.  For me, it has become normal to have strange pains (and the lesser aches) in my body.  I've gone in for a number of things that I feared were cancer related.  Everyone proved false.  Removing a kidney is pretty serious stuff and surgeons can't put everything back in the condition that it should be.  For some things, time (a lot of it) is needed before normalcy returns.  For some things, there will be a new normal for you.  You are right to check things out as they develope, but I think that, until you see the medical people, the assumption can be that things are OK.  Be vigilent and stay on top of things (seeing your doctors when issues persist), but don't jump ahead of yourself as to worst-case thoughts.

Is simply horrid. Everything hurts inside and out. I tell my wife I'm dying but she just laughs at me. Make sure you tell your doctor about your aches and pains. They will take you seriously.

When I found out I had cancer, I began having anxiety attacks - so severe that I went to see my cardiologist about them thinking they were a  heart attack.

Severe pain and tightness through the chest and shoulders. Felt like I was being both pulled apart and sat on by an elephant.  Strange was that my heart rate never raced nor did I have any breathing problems.  After about 30 seconds to about 5 minutes (at it's worse) then whole thing just went away. 

Cariologist (after tests) that they were anxiety related.  That I was to just sit up (normally happened at night) and breath deeply.  I haven't had them in about 6 months now (since the night before my 6 month CT scan) - but they were very scary!

 

Hopefully your pains will turn out to be the same thing.  BUT Dr.s all said that I was smart to have it checked out as quickly as I did.  So glad you have as well.

I will keep you in my prayers for sure.  I understand the feeling you are having and it is not fun. I have been reading a book called A Reason for Hope by Michael Barry that has made me feel so much better. I ordered it on Amazon and got it the next day. It is a Christian perspective on dealing with cancer. 

Also, when I am stressed or have anxiety, I too have pains in my shourlers and neck that feel like muscular pain.  I pray that you come back NED and that you find peace over the weekend as you wait for your scan.

Well, here's the only place where I can talk about everything which makes me worried and be sure the one who is telling me "don't worry" is the one who truly knows how I feel.

for several months after my nephrectomy, I would have episodes of pain in my side where the nephrectomy was that would last a few days and go away.  Don't be surprised by this but do have it checked out.

I had alll sorts of weird pains after surgery.  First, right under my ribs, not far from my scar 2-3 months after surgery.  It went away.  Then, nearly 6 months after surgery, I had horrible back pain.  Never had back pain like this.  I had to stay home for a week.  I was trying to get back into exercise, and every time I did moderate core exercises, my back pain would flare up.  That went away too.  I think it was Dutch who said that the body has to get used to the new normal.  We are all different too.  Hope Foroughsh's pain is nothing to worry about.  Wishing you the best . . .
