for your loss.  Prayers for strength and peace.  It's never easy.  I found solice that my parents were both out of pain.  Time helps.

We buried mom yesterday on a cold sunny day in NYC. I think she would have been both shocked and pleased by the turnout at her wake and funeral. My Dad has now seemed to turn into the strong one, as I broke down at the burial when I realized I had to leave my mom at the cemetery. So many years of hospital stays with the promise that " I would bring my mom home in a few days" became so routine to me, it was a shock to my system when I realized that I could not bring her home. I find comfort in having my Dad at this time.

I'm so glad during this heartbreaking time that you and your a Dad have each other to find comfort.  And that your Mom's funeral was well attended, a testament to her life.

Losing a mother is one of the hardest things we have to bear in life.  They held us, fed us, bathed us, changed our diapers and from the moment we were conceived they have loved us, holding dreams for our future, encouraging us every step of the way, being there, whether in the kitchen cooking our dinners or kissing a boo boo.

i miss my mother everyday, their time with us is never long enough.
