I am so sorry to hear that

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this.  Cancer is scary, but try and gather as much information as you can and find some trusted physicians to help.  Cancer is not a death sentence.  Many of us have lived a long time even with advanced disease.  Hang in there and welcome!

    So sorry to hear

<!-So sorry to hear this is happening to you, unfortunately 10% of women develop a second breast tumor either recurrence or new primary, and more commonly will develop in the opposite breast, so you’re not alone in this, good luck and stay strong.

    Second Cancer

Hello dearmstr.........getting the news that you have another cancer would of course make you afraid.   You didn't say how long it has been since the first cancer or what your treatment was then.   I have not gotten that news but there are many on here who have posted about metastesis ........so far during my long remission I have relied on Prayer and attempted to keep a positive outlook because I realized early on that we cannot live in Fear..... it clouds our judgement and cripples our emotions.   Sending you positve thoughts that this new cancer will be manageable and treatable.   We are stronger than we sometimes think........  hugs and prayers,  Glo

    second time around.

I thank all of your for your replies and suppot. It has been ten years since my last diagnosis. Since I created this post. I went for surgery on the 28th and had a mastectomy. And today the drain was removed. I have also found out that I will probably not required Chemo. But will have to take a new drug that starts with an A for 5 years. I am feeling alot better today.

    Glad you are feeling better

and sure hope you won't have to do the chemo and that the healing from the surgery goes smoothly.

I'm getting my Annual Diagnostic MM this Friday and getting nervous like I alway do...even though I've been in Remission now about 11 years from end of chemo/radiation......still get uptight.

    yeah, no chemo

Hope you continue to heal and recover without complications. Great news that you get to skip chemo, not an experience I would recommend. I'm guessing your new med for the next 5 years is Arimidex. I'm glad you're feeling better, stay strong.
