Scanxiety time again.

Had CT Monday.  Waiting for results.  Though I am feeling pretty good, this doesnt seem to get any easier for me.  Trying to think positive and keep busy.

to vent a little frustration, as I drove to my ct scan I had a panic attack and had to pull over on the side of the beltway.  After I regrouped, I got my self to the radiology building, checked in, went straight to the bathroom to explosively eliminated much of the barium I had drunk, to return to the waiting room to find out my ct scan had been denied by my insurance company.  My phones and internet had been out for several days and so had not received the message my appointment had been canceled.  I refused to leave.  I had already drank a bottle and a half of barium and was not about to turn around and go home, especially considering the difficulties I had in getting myself there.  After many phone calls to insurance company and oncologist I ended up putting the charges on my credit card and crossing my fingers that my insurance company will pull through and I will get reimbursed.  What a pain in the butt.

hope you all are doing and feeling well.

hugs.

    Dr Visits?  CA count?  CTs?

Dr Visits?  CA count?  CTs?  I know it doesn't get any easier for me, and I am guessing most women would agree.

I saw my gyn onc today and every time I walk in there my BP goes high.

    Take a breath friend.

    Hugs back at you!

    Wow, that's insane.  You

Wow, that's insane.  You would think they would have told you that before you started drinking.  Sending clean scan ju ju.  Also if for some reason your insurance doesn't reimburse you (I'm sure they will), they have those internet Fundme pages.  This is definitely something worth funding, people will do it.  You're better than most, you did the scan without any help.  At some point I had to take an Ativan at scan time.  Just couldn't get through the night without it.  I was fine the first round of cancer but when it came back I was a mess.

    Yes, once the cancer comes

Yes, once the cancer comes back then it seems every clean scan sets you up for the next to be dirty.  Uggg.  Just never gets easier.  But...holding on to my 10% survival statistic.  ;))

    I agree with Helen, they

I agree with Helen, they should have told you about the appt. cancellation & ins. issue when you first got there, esp. before you downed all that barium! It's a shame cancer patients have to go through so much red tape with the insurance companies for scans, tests & treatments. You would think they would realize early detection is less costly to them. I'm glad you insisted on having it done with everything you had already been through. I hope the ins. co. reimburses you.

I think the scanxity comes to all of us who have been touched by this horrible disease. You have been through so much with the good scans then bad scans. You have a positive attitude holding on to the 10% survival statistic!!! Hey, somebody has to be in that 10%, why not you?!!!! Best of luck to you & I will send some postive vibes your way & lots of prayers for you.

    HUGS ((()))

    Babe
