    Cats rule, dogs drool!

Sounds like you have a good team in your corner.  Enjoy starting to eat next week.  Make sure that you have something for your skin after radiation treatment.  My rad team gave me the cream.

    Arm and Hammer

That's the one.  Don't use the one that you have had in the refrigerator for 6 months!

    Tried some pudding and was

Tried some pudding and was alittle hard to get down but better the more water I sippped. It's been awhile so figured it will take time and as the speach specialist said the more I use the tounge to eat the stronger it will become.Just like any muscle if you don't use it it becomes weak.

    Pudding

Pudding seems like a logical choice but it can be difficult sometimes. Similar to mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, if not the exact consistancy, it just won't go down easy. Try eggs. Also try milk rather than water.  Cool Whip. I had great luck early on with crab legs in melted butter. Baked potato loaded w/butter and sour cream. Pancakes and plenty of syrup. Things at room temperature were easier for me. Good luck!

Was going to try eggs for

Was going to try eggs for dinner tommorrow thought pudding would be easy but kind stuck in back of throat for a while. And yes room temp kind shying away from anything hot as I don't have total feeling in the front of my tounge or lips yet.How does oatmeal go down? Was eating that before surgery and seemed ok along with soup.

    the whites

of eggs, I couldn't do, but, the yolks..yummy. I couldn't do oatmeal or pudding...yogurt (yoplait ) is good, pancakes with lots of syrup & butter, I heated V8 and crushed ritz crackers in, went down great for me. scrambled eggs, there's a shake product, I got mine from Amazon, called Scandishake, it's delicious made with milk or ice water, and gives you 600 calaries a shake, Mashed potatoes ( i bought the Bob Evans instant ) are good, lots of butter~~~gosh, it's been so long I can't think..I did drink  ensure, boost, and carnation instant breakfast

this was all after close to 3 months out, so you're doing fabulous!
