Anyone have pain a week after the feeding tube was out?

I do not know if this is normal, but it feels like a pulling, stabbing pain when I reach up or accross.  It is wierd as I was sore for only  2 days after having the g-tube out last Monday, and then fine until Sunday when wow the pain brought me to my knees a couple of times.  I do not know if it is musclular or what but it hurts where the first tube was put in as well as where the second one was.  

Anyone else have pain a week or more after having your tube out?  If so what helped?

    I would say no....

    if you were still getting an ache or small pain when you reach up I'd think it was just scar tissue pulling, or as you mentioned....something muscular.  I could still "feel" mine a week out of removal.  But when it puts you to your knees, it's time to call and have them check it out and see what's going on.

    Called the interventional radiologist

    Their brilliant suggestion was "go to the ER".  Last time I did that the MD who saw me was a resident and did not know much about feeding tubes and missed the hole in my stomach meaning I had to endure yet another surgery and he "forgot" to write the correct order for the X-ray tech. I could say much more about the local ER but had best stop here.  Needless to say, unless it gets a lot worse I will not allow them to mess me up again. Today was  better, but it does grab me from time to time.

    PJ, those damn tubes just

    PJ, those damn tubes just won't leave you alone.  sorry to hear about this new problem.  i'd try talking to a new doc or make an appt, not go back to er where they don't know what you've been thru.  i hope you find the problem and the solution is an easy one.  let us know how it turns out.

    Yep. ER - Better be an real EMERGENCY or you often waste lots of time and money and end up short. If you can wait til the morning you are usually better off speaking with your regular go-to folks.
