    Julie, you're so sweet!

Thank you, Julie, for your kind encouraging words. I appreciate it so much! The CT scan showed I have "something" on my spleen & I'll be on a new drug, Arimidex, for the next 3 months. As always, as much of the detail as I can recall is posted here:

    Your results

    Hi Carole

A wonderfully informative entry in your Journal, thank you.   Interesting that you are going onto Arimidex!!  I must say 3 months off chemo would be a welcome break and no testing over that time will be a huge change (or should I say challenge!) for you.  I certainly wish you well and hope the "something" on the spleen is nothing!

I know there are varying theories on going totally by CA125 numbers rather than waiting for symptoms.  My oncologist follows this path hence my being on chemo for most of the past 2 years.   Think I would be a bit scared to wait for symptoms particularly as my number is in the 500's but some time off chemo is an enticing thought!

This week is once again is blood test week and 3 days of chemo and I am also booked to see another Onc who is in the research area (recommended by my onc) so will be interesting to see what that brings up.

Interestingly I lost my hair when on a combination of Etopocide (hair loss not expected with this) and Avastin and since dropping the Avastin it has started growing again and I have a covering of soft fuzz once again.

Let's hope this year brings exciting developments in the fight against PPC and Ovarian cancers.
