I Know you get asked this a lot but I dont have insurance and Im trying my best to gather all the information I can while I find somewhere to get help.

Thanks.

Just try and put it out of

Just try and put it out of your mind and wait for the colonoscopy.  These symptoms could be cancer or numerous other problems.  Worrying won't help.  I realize that it's hard but just try not to obsess over it.  Could be a lot of different things.  Sorry you've been having these problems.

    Try not to worry!

It is extremely unlikely that you have cancer...not impossible, but very unlikely from a statistical persepctive (I have actually never seen anyone as young as you who had this type of cancer on the various forums I've been on over the years).  There are many conditions that can cause the problems you describe and they are all more likely than cancer.  And I don't know if it's any consolation or not, but like many people with colon cancer, I didn't experience any bleeding at all before diagnosis.  The last thing I would comment on is that you mention a "red racing stripe".  From what I've read, the blood from crc is usually very dark, and not bright red.  So if your was a bright color, it would be more commonly from something like internal hemorrhoids.

Of course, there is a slight chance that you do have a more serious problem, and if you do, we will be here to support you through it!  But for the time being, try to put it out of your mind until you get more information.  And come back to let us know how it goes~AA

    Worry

Worry does not help, although we all do it. So, first things first. Chedule a colonoscopy and get the results. Very important. Do not fear the worse. This forum is here to help you in any way we can.

Please keep us informed, Good Luck to you.

A couple of questions and helpful links ...

I am so sorry that you are having fears about CRC.

Colonoscopy .... Have you scheduled this procedure as was advised by the doctors? Any questions you have about this procedure don't hesitate to ask.

The insurance issue ... please check your eligibility for the Affordable Care Act insurance. Yesterday was the deadline to receive insurance that would be available January 2014 ... but, there are other deadlines that allow you to sign-up for the following year and avoid penalty.  There are also some other aspects of the program that are being changed right now to accomodate folks. I do not know your personal situation but their is also Medicaid and Medicare for those who are disabled and have had employment.  Regardless of the reasons for the blood in your stool ... try to get some health insurance.

    Here are some helpful links:

Please come back to the site and keep us informed as to how you are doing.  There are many, many compassionate individuals here that can provide guidance and support.

As difficult as it may be, try your best not to borrow worry ...

    Peace. ~ Cynthia
