Help needed

in Kidney Cancer #1

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I am using this site correctly? I have posted previously and also commented on a topic. However, I have received no replies etc. I am currently on a drug trial using sorafenib, having had a nephrectomy in August last year. I am keen to share experiences with others using that drug, which I believe is called nexavar as well. Hope to hear and a Merry Christmas to all on this site.

    You might wish to consider registering at: www.SmartPatients.com as well as checking in here. I think you may find more patients over there who have had some experience with this drug.

    I can't relate

    Hi Ali and welcome to our world.  I've been using this site for about 7 months and am still not sure I use it correctly, so, you're in good company with me.

    I can't relate to drug trials as I have never done one but wanted to chime in anyway to wish you a very Merry Christmas!

    Hi Ali

    You were asking about the SORCE trial and from my experience there haven't been too many others in this trial who post on this board. I recall one other person some months ago and she withdraw from the trial due to side effects. I was on the drug for 12 months. i am in Australia.

    Hi Sue,

    Thanks for your reply. I did see that you had posted on one of the discussion boards about the trial. It's a shame there are no others on here that are still on the trial as I feel sometimes that it is a bit of a solitary journey without being able to share experiences.
