Has anyone decided not to take home the pump and if so any changes in results. my onc had said there was no scientic proof the pump had or had not helped or hindered things?

I'm on the pump as I write

I'm on the pump as I write this note. I can't believe my Onc would prescribe this drug if it wasn't going to help me. I think 5Fu may compliment the other drugs you are taking. I can tell you that I've worn the pump a lot and I'm fast approching 9 years of survival.  For me, it's working along with the other drugs I'm taking.

I've always had 5Fu w/ my treamtents, in the course of almost 9 years, I had well over 60 rounds of chemo. I was dx'd in Dec 2004 with stage iv crc and liver mets. It's been on and off battle since then. Today, I have several spots on my liver and in a few months from now we may do some more surgery to remove those spots. All in all,  my quality of life is good.
