the rash showed up the end of the first week after first infusion (both times), but I also had lost my hair by the third week, and here I am six weeks later on the second go around (last time I had Erbitux was Aprill and started on Vetibix in October) and while my hair has thinned (not noticeably, only I know from touching it, and from the hair that seems to land on my food), so far have only lost the gray hairs and not all of them, I am amazed, I'm hoping I'll still have my hair for my daughter's graduation on the 14th of December!!

mine this time has been a red face mostly and very few zit like things, but am on Vetibix this go around, I had more zit stuff on my nose with the Erbitux.

I'm not supposed to lose the hair, I'm on oxy and xeloda, but I have noticed thinness and gaur loss, lots on the brush and fingers.  My head itches.  I read that your hair growing at times uncontrollably is a Eurbutux side affect.   Come on lashes. :).  Got to keep some humour going.

    Lashes side effect

This year was the first time in my life that I bought and can use an eye lash curler!!  I was so happy to have had to finally make that purchase, while the rest of me was bald (Irrinotecan) in the beginning of this year my eyelashes grew and still remain long, a lovely side effect.

    I survived with Erbitux

You can too!!! Below are three posts from my blog dealing with Erbitux (including pictures). You might get a laugh on the third post. Laughing is good. :-) If you read a few posts inbetween these you will see the success I experienced with Erbitux. It basically kicked the crap out of the tumors in my liver, and brought my CEA down to under 1. I've been off it for a while now and the rash is nearly gone. A few blemishes on my body remain but the face is virtually clear!

    Rash

Mine looked like the other pictures that were shared with you.  I did 17 Erbitux treatments total. The side effects got bad enough that we reduced the dose to 80% and went 2 out of every 3 weeks rather than weekly.  Eyelashes got very long, I got little 'paper cut' like splits in the ends of my fingers, and the toenails on both big toes became discolored.  I think everything they say you can get, I got.  I ended up growing a beard to hide some of the rash but that's probably not an option for you :)Laughing O -well, I guess I had the full experience.  Right now I've been off of it for 3 weeks and the rash is about 95% gone.  My next step in the Big 'C' battle is HIPEC surgery on Dec. 4th and you are suppoesed to be off of Erbitux 4 weeks prior.  Hope the Erbitux does the job for you, and don't worry too much about the rash - it's only skin deep, and we know that everyone involved in this battle is much 'deeper' than just that.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

    Thanks for sharing!    No,

Thanks for sharing!    No, I'm not worried about it. I did get all on nose, forehead, around mouth.    They appear to be drying, so I stopped antibiotic, ONC said no, stay on for now.
