edited November 2013 in Colorectal Cancer #1

I met with my oncologist this morning and he gave me some good news.  Monday's CT shows that most of my cancer is gone. There are several small lesions on my liver there and several lymph nodes that were large in size and they've returned to their normal size. Other than that, my blood work looks great and my tumor marker is normal. My  plan is to continue w/ chemo, treatments every 3/4 weeks. The extra time between treatment has been a blessing, I feel as though my quality of life is very good.  Moving forward, my treatment will consist of lucevorin, certuximab and 5fu. All in all, I'm very happy with the news and my Oncologist. He and his staff are just terrific. I talked to my Oncologist about dieting and certain diets that are talked about and practiced by some on this board.  My Onc's reply, EAT and eat often.  I've never dieted, I eat well balanced meals and I eat a lot. I call it my SeeFood Diet, if I see it and I like it, i eat it:)  This practice has serverd my well.  December 14, 2004 I was dx'd with Stage IV colon cancer (mets to liver)  and told that I'd have about 2 years to live. Through perserverance and determination I'm still here and plan on being for the foreseeable future.

Head down, full steam ahead...

Buster...
