    Update
I have had a long week. The scan showed possible mets to my lungs and breast. I spent a lot of time talking to doctors this week. I have seen all of the scans. It sure is scary to see those black dots on the scans. Not good. It is hard to know right now which cancer could be spreading. I won't have answers for a few weeks. I have appointments coming up with surgeons. I have spent much time staring at the stars and trying to gather my strength and faith. I do not know what I will decide to do, if I can do anything at all. I am not going to tell my daughter until I know more. I wish that I could say that I was at peace with it, but I am not. I can say that at this point in my life, I am at peace with how I have lived my life. That gives me some solace. I do not feel overly anxious, for some odd reason. I think after having two separate cancers, I realized that every day was a gift. I want to live a lot longer, to see my daughter start her own life and find happiness.

    I'm praying for you! Hugs

You are in a good place

Not everyone can say the things you said here. I know this is true in my heart that you have solace and peace in the way you have lived. I think we have to take these things one day at a time. Acceptance is key to most things. We have more energy to fight that way. You are doing better than you think right now.

    Love,

    Marynb children

We live for our children and if all is well with them, we can go in peace. How old is your daughter? My son motivates me to keep looking at the future and organizing what I need to get done asap and what the most important stuff is for me today.  My prayers with you.

    Thank you friends!
I cannot tell you how much your prayers and support mean to me. I do not know why, but I do not seek support from friends and family. Everyone has always relied on me and I have always tried to be strong for everyone else. I have no idea why I am like this. Sometimes I really wish I could let itt all go. I am terrified, really. I have appointments with surgeons next week. It is hard to wrap my head around having so much cancer.

Believe it or not, I have a second job interview this week for a job I would really love and I know I could do so much good if I got it. It is keeping me focused. I am just going to proceed and hope for the best. God works in mysterious ways! I have been thinking about a job like this for a long time and it would be perfect. I am an attorney and I would love to use my voice for the voiceless. I just pray that God gives me the chance.

So, thank you for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts. I have appointments next week. Dear God, it is mind numbing.

I have not told my daughter yet, and I won't until I know more. She really still needs her mother.

My baby is 22, but a very young 22. I raised her alone and kept her pretty sheltered. She is doing great right now and I do not want her to have the rug pulled out from under her. Thanks for the prayers!!!!

I hope the upcoming job interview is a sign from God that he is not done with you yet!

As for seeking support from close friends, I've found it really doesn't work.  I truly believe the only people that can have a grasp on what we go through is us!  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

You are on my mind and in my prayers daily. Wishing you luck on that interview, its great to have something else to occupy your mind. I have daughters, 21, 22, 24, 25 and a son 26.......it is a tough age.

I keep coming across the quote " His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts"...........He knows exactly what He is doing with you and your daughter, and has not messed up yet!

I'm leaving right now for CT scan and chest X-ray, then the anxious waiting begins!

    Use your voice for you

Right now, this job is a great thing to lift spirits and focus energy on something besides, "oh ****! I've got cancer!" But please, Mary, use your voice for you. Live for you and your higher power which does good work through you, then your daughter, then your job(s). Then you will have much more time to do great work. Many doctors have seen these spots disappear. It will happen to you but rest is an element to all this stuff. Remember to schedule time for you. That's what my gut tells me. You are in "fight or flight". I know you need to do a bit of both but try not to overbook the flight.

    Love,

    Sandy
