Just Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Hi Dolores,

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I was diagnosed beginning of March and have gone through 4 rounds of chemotherapy so far.  Understand the tiredness, I was tired at the point you are at too.  It is a pretty stressful time, since you don't know what stage, and dont know your treatment plan yet.  Hopefully things get better when you know what to expect.  I'm glad you are here though, I wish i had found this discussion board sooner. Hoping the best for you!!

You will have to wait for your test results and then your oncologist will decide on your treatment course, until then just try to relax. On this board you will find a lot of good advice from very nice ladies and gentlemen who have had (or still have) different types and stages of BC. When you have a treatment plan you would be able to ask specific questions about it and members here would be happy to answer your questions.

Being told "You have cancer" is scary and confusing but it is curable -God Willing-. Take care and good luck.

 

This is a really great group Dolores.  I just joined recently while having boosters and got a lot of help and advice.

Please let me know when you can about your journey, I have not come across many people with ILC and I am so confused. i do not know my stage yet my surgeon is waiting on fin al Bx path report so I am also waiting to find out about the hormone receptors. My surgeon said that with this kind of ca that I am a moving target for cancer in the other breast so I also decided on B/L mastectomy and I see the plastic surgeon this fri the 14th.

Glad to hear ithis lack of energy is not me.  At first I must admit I really thought it was in my head.  I got my appointments for the CT scan and Bone scan for June 12th.  Then the Dr can tell me morel
