I want to thank all of you for posting on this discussion board.  I am a new member but have been reading the posts for several months now.  I was diagnosised with anal cancer in Dec. 2012 (what an unwelcome & unexpected Christmas present Frown).  I finished chemo & radiation treatments in mid-March and found your site around that time.  Reading the similar stories of diagnosis, treatment and post treatment have been so helpful to me.  Your sharing of symptoms, problems, tests and feelings have been very informative.  Knowing that other are experiencing the samethings I am has eased my mind many times.  I am grateful to all who have shared their experiences and hope I can help someone the way you all have helped me.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

    Hi Tracey

I'm glad you have found some good information here.  There is nothing like the knowledge of those who have actually been through this.  The doctors, IMO, know so very little about what we actually experience and how to help us.  It truly is a relief just to know you are not alone.  I felt alone all through treatment and did not find any support sites until my treatment had been done two months prior.  I have still learned a lot that has helped me.  My hope is that newbies can come here and learn things that will make their journey easier than mine was.  I wish you all the very best and I hope you'll keep us posted on how you're doing.

Hi. I am glad you found this site and also that you completed your treatment! I wish I had this site when I was being treated. Welcome.
