Well I have one treatment down and 3 more to go... I had an allergic reaction to the Taxotere... worst back pain I had ever felt... And that was with Benedryl, Decadron, and zantac on board... They changed Taxotere to Abraxane and I sailed through without any more problems... Next treatment 6/19.  Now I set and wait for my hair to fall out... lol

    One down

    Hi Kathy,

Only 3 more to go!! Now that they know what you are allergic to, I hope you sail through your last 3.

    first treatment done too!

You and I are on the same treatment plan it seems. I had my first treatment 5/24 and will have my next one 6/14.  Sorry you had a reaction. I have been doing okay myself. Had some stomach problems, but they have seem to go away after changing my diet.  Just hoping I get through the stage of low WBC.  Of course, I don't know how any of this will be since I have never done this before. I am too waiting for my hair to fall out, but hopfully not until school is out since I am a teacher and the kids don't know what is going on yet. I didn't want to leave them with that on their summer break.

    toatley75... That must be

toatley75... That must be hard for you to go to work each day and acting like nothing has changed in your life...

I am doing fine some side effects... tired, weak, nothing tastes good, but forcing myself to eat. I injected my first Neulasta today with Benedryl so waiting on reaction to that.  Onco nurse told me to use Motrin (or the like) for any bone pain.  I really feel that I'm doing better then anticipated. But we'll see what tomorrow brings.... God Bless! Kathy

    first treatment

It's hard to keep everything quiet, but luckily things have not changed for me physically so it seems like everything is normal.  That may not be the case when I come back to work when school starts again, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.  I don't have the shot to take so I'm glad about that. I didin't even know about the shot until someone else asked me if I was taking it. Hope you and I both continue to feel as good as we do.

    Very different reaction to Neulasta

I had a different reaction to Neulasta than I've others have.  No pain at all but an hour almost to the minute after injection I would go to sleep for an hour. It was like a switch turned.  Thankfully I had them for my 4 A/C - not with the 12 Taxol.
