Just curious if any of you fantastic ladies were ever diagnosed with uterine cancer after taking tamoxifen?

DUE to Tamoxifen I had to

DUE to Tamoxifen I had to have total Hysterectomy about 2 yrs into taking it. If all goes well I can stop taking in in Aug (my five year mark)

I was post meno and one night started to bleed-went the the gyno next day. Had surgery short time after and have a very enlarge uterus and anything he could take out!

    Prior to surgery every 4-6

Prior to surgery every 4-6 mths i had an (NOT sure of actual name of test) INTERNAL ultra sound followed by a D & C...so though the hystercomty was a killer in the long run worth it..

    I haven't

I haven't been dx with uterine cancer(already had my uterus out).I was told after my lumpectomy I need to take tamoxifin and having a hysteroctomy already was making me a good candidate to take it.Seems like alot do have problems.BUT several of my friends had no female problems. One is a 19 year survivor. The thing she gets are bladder infections alot. But tests are fine.

    Thank you

Thanks ladies,  I had a large polyp removed and a d&c yesterday.  Also have ovarian cysts, assuming this is due to the tamoxifen.  Really appreciate your responses.

I wish I had done tamoxifen

I wish I had done tamoxifen longer.  I did 7 years which gave me an 18 year remission.  I never had any uterine problems and, believe me, my docs checked (biopsies, ultrasounds, etc.).

I am now battling Stage 4 and that is 1000 X more difficult for me than tamoxifen. In the meantime, research is beginning to demonstrate that longer courses of tamoxifen may be the ticket for keeping the ER+ beast from recurring.

    I did have a total

hysterectomy after I developed dysplasia (pre-cancerous cells).

I was told that Tamoxifen after 5 years was not very effective. I need to research that more. Praying for you Cynthia.
