praying for a good outcome !

    Hey Denis,

Wow, you've been through too much.  I'm keeping you tucked in my pocket for good results.  I was wondering why no garlic...my Dad uses it every day.  Does this mess with bleeding issues ?  Sending positives Denis !   Katie

    Prostate

HI Pat, sorry to hear about the occular stroke. You are right, you and I and get the curveballs. I had a pet scan in September of 2011 that was clear and a couple of scans since then that showed nothing in the groin area. Also the urologist did a prostate shave down in November 2012, my pcp said he would have sent the shavings to pathology, don't know if he did or not and I do understand that you have to get the spot to find the cancer but??? I will do whatever it takes I have dreams of playing in an old guys rock band again, the voice seems okay. I am not sure about the garlic Katie, the sheet says stop garlic, garlic oil, fish oil, cod liver oil, multivitamins, and all over the counter medications 14 days before the biopsy, how am I going to survive for two weeks without cod liver oil????? The bruising sucks Pat, I am on plavix and aspirin and if I am out on a windy day the wind could bruise my arms, sometimes I wake up in the morning and have a new bruise on my hand or arm with no clue how it happened. Will keep you all informed as to the second opinion outcome this Friday

    Hershey

Was at Penn State Hershey Urology Dep[artment today, Doctor looked over the paperwork I took with me from the urologist here in York. He confirmed that I had prostatitis. I got a real finger in the butt going over, he said he felt the small nodule on my prostate and was not very concerned about it. He said I should have a biopsy because of my family history of prostate cancer, both dad and brother had it. He also said that we could just monitor it, I said no lets do the biopsy. They have much more advanced equipment than in a doctor's office, I don't have to jumpo through hoops prior to the procedure. He scheduled the biopsy for May 20 about seven weeks from now, I asked why so long and was told that nothing would change in that period. So feel a lot better and am very glad I went to hershey Medical Center, I also enjoy the pervasive smell of chocolate in the town.

    That Prostate

Hope it turns out to be a false alarm. Some non-cancer thing. That Prostate is a real pain for all of us men. Mine just gives me the "normal male headaches": getting up in the middle of the night. A good knowledge of the location of all rest rooms in the city. But I won't complain. Not with what you're going thru. Rick.

    Hi Denis ..

So reading your last post that sounds to me like good news ....of course the biopsy will confirm and you are still on the daily prayer list ...

....now if I may.  Reading about prostrates, finger exams and then your statement about the chocolate smell...I don't know...but there is a joke in there somewhere and I'm just too tired to figure it out Sealed

    Best,

    Tim

    Encouraging News!

    Denis,

That's encouraging news to say the least. I definitely understand the precautions you and your doctor are taking as well. Keeping positive thoughts and prayers coming that it al checks out...
