    Hi babe,
    ThNks for thinking

    Hi babe,

ThNks for thinking of me.  I'm still here, been checking in and reading but haven't posted an update because I'm sort of waiting for things to move along.  I tried cisplatin again after the allergic reaction and had another reaction so won't be getting that any more.  I've been getting gemzar though which has been fine.  The thought is to try oxiliplatin next and see if I am ok on that.  Sick and tired of all this, needed a longer break.  Side effects haven't been too bad but am tired.  I don't like the schedule I'm on for chemo.  We changed from every three weeks carbo, with first and second week gemzar to every two weeks cisplatin/gemzar.  Just getting knocked down to often.  Need longer recovery time.  Today willstart radiation for 5 days for the anterror pelvic wall tumor that was removed.  It should be pretty easy since the tumor was essentially very superficial and not down in all my organs and stuff.  So, I will do five days of radiation and then back to more chemo attempts.  On Wednesday I will meet with a med. oncologist to talk to about various treatment options on the systemic frontier.  I have my eye on the ADXS11-001 vaccine trial.  This looks good to me, and amtrying to figure out how to get it even though I don't meet the eligibility criteria.  Don't have measurable disease for them to "target".  So...research, contacting various clinical trial people.  Hugs to you.  Hope you are well and had a happy Easter.

    Be Strong!

I was so pained when I read your post, I am sorry that you are going through so much still.I can't think of anything to say to you other than remain being a fighter, and pursue anything and everything. As hard as it is, everyday there will be something you can find delight in and that is what you can focus on. There is still beauty and value in life everyday for a cancer fighter, and it is those things that give us the strength to go on and continue in this fight.

My very best to you...Be Strong!

    Thanks funbeadgirl.  Fighting

Thanks funbeadgirl.  Fighting on.  Just frustrated and tired of it all.  My kids keep me going and they are beautiful and precious every day.  Started getting my garden going so that helps distract me on the good weeks.  Ive got two radiation treatments done with three more to go.  Will glad to have that under my belt.  Starting to all become way to familiar.  Seems like my life has been consumed with cancer and treatments since I was diagnosed.  But...one day....it will all be a distant memory.  Life goes on.  Hope you are well.  Hugs.

    Thank you ladies.  Feels

Thank you ladies.  Feels good.  Honestly radiation is more effective for my cancer than chemo so I am glad that I did it.  I feel good too.  Better, actually, then I have been feeling.  So....on to the garden.  Tomatoes, brussels sprouts, cucumbers, bell peppers, hot peppers, tomoatillos, watermelon and cantalope, zuchinni and eggplant too.  What do you gals have going?  Happy spring to you all.

    Good news

So glad to hear that the radiation is effective for your cancer, every day you will heal more and more. Dig in that dirt and may you harvest some yummy veggies to keep yourself healthy. I will be busy getting ready to welcome a brand new grand baby in Fall! It will be the fourth grandchild and we are so excited. It will give me something to look forward to. I also will spend a good amount of time with my other 3 grand kids this summer, the two older ones will help me around the yard and house this summer. I also have a convention I am attending this summer and then we go to music in the park every Friday during summer. I have been swimming twice a week and will keep that up through summer, but in the outdoor pool. I will still have to deal with my fractured leg but I think that will be a piece of cake compared to cancer!

I look forward to Spring...it is still cold up here and supposed to get snow tomorrow again, oh well, I accept that every day is a good day when you are alive and able to enjoy life. Many good wishes to you all.
