This just never seems to end.  Ever since the cancer dx in 6/2011, menopause set in with a vengence (went on hrt - so far so good but still so much fatique and aches/pains), then went in for new glasses, Dr. said "freckle" in left eye is not freckle now that it is showing up in right eye also.  Went to ophthalmologist, who said it is "butterfly dystrophy" and we would need to watch it but he was very concerned about the large optic nerve so sent me to a glaucoma specialist.  Just had that appt today and have to go back next month for a field test...  Not sure what will happen with this.  Ever since the surgery in 2011, everything seems to be going downhill.  Yell  Things aren't bad just don't seem to be ending... still waiting to come out on the other side but I have a feeling that I will need to be followed by 1-2 ophthalmologists for the rest of my life...   grrrrrr  (just a frustrating day - saw gync this am and will be adjusting hrt to see if it helps with fatiques/aches/pains, went out to the barn where one of my horses was colicking but had to leave to get to eye dr. - had to cancel taking son out for birthday because had to go back to barn to care for sick horse).  Everything seems fine now....   just venting.

    Pplffsstt!

That is me, sticking my tongue out and blowing raspberries at all the junk that gets in the way of truly enjoying life.  My problems don't seem as serious as yours, but there just seems to be a lot of junk!  This should be our "golden time"...cancer on hold, worst of treatments over, bad symptoms gone.  Life should be golden, but there is all this junk!  I guess we should be happy we are strong women to handle it all.  Hang in there!

    Dear Ruffy

Boy, when it rains, it pours!  I'm so sorry you have to deal with menopause and eye issues on top of everything else.  Sometimes it feels like nothing is going right but I hope that sharing on this board has helped you feel a little better.  Vent away anytime!

    Hugs,

    Kelly

    You are so right...

there doesn't seem to be an end.  I too am glad you came here to vent.  It helps so much.  I don't have any words of wisdom but just to let you know "I hear ya!"  This journey has many twists and turns.  I just wish I could have a day in which I didn't remember cancer exists.  It would be a nice break but...

Just know we are here and we understand.
