Can I rent a new body. Lol

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I have been having a lot of numbness and tingling in my hands and arms every night for a few months.  my body is really stiff in the mornings and I have to be careful not to trap drown the steps on the way to take care of David in the morning. I have actually fell once and luckily only had rug burns.  I have also been having achy legs the last few days.  It feels like my legs have the flu.  I am having a lot of trouble falling and staying asleep too.  I don't have a doctor since mine left the practice at the end of November.  Oh well I am sure it will get better eventually.

    HEY VIVIAN

I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU GET TO A DOCTOR AND GET IT CHECKED OUT, YOU HAVE BEEN UNDER SO MUCH STRESS IN THE LAST YEAR BEING DAVIDS CARETAKER IT MAY WELL BE TAKING A TOLL ON YOUR HEATH.  YOU OWE IT TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF IF FOR NO OTHER REASON SO YOU CAN KEEP HELPING DAVID.  GO TO THE ER IF YOU HAVE TO AND DEAL WITH THE MONEY ISSUES LATER.  WHAT YOU DECRIBED SOUNDS CONCERNING AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO ASAP.

    You

You need to be checked out ASAP.  If you don't take care of yourself, who will.  Stress can and does cause a lot of problems, I know that for sure but there could be a major health issue going on in your body.

    Stress....

    Vivian,

I would rent you mine, but I'm not much better...LOL. But, seriously our bodies have a wierd way of reacting to stress. Even if we think for the most part we have things under control in our mind, our bodies know otherwise. I would see if you could see a doctor soon about it. If it's not anything serious he can find, he may offer you something to relax your mind and body for awhile until some of the stress is lifted. Don't be afraid to reach out for yourself too.

    get yourself checked out

    Vivian

as ditto said, if you don't have a doctor at the moment, I would advise going to an ER or an Immediate Care facility.  Your body is telling you that you are on overload and need to slow down.

Please don't put it off.  You need to take care of you or you won't be able to help David at all.

Hope it is nothing more serious than needing a rest, but do get it checked out ASAP.

we are all concerned about both of you.

You know I'm right on the heels of

everyone else here.  You have have been under long term...HIGH stress....that is so hard on the body!  You DO need to check this out....you can't care for David if you fall apart.  I know you've been dieting, too....and regardless of how healthy it is to try to get to a good weight, dieting is also a stressor....You've got to take care of yourself....So young lady....you get to the Dr. and have them look into this.

    get checked out

    Vivian:

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone else.  You need to get that checked out ASAP.  It may only be due to stress but you won't know till you get it checked out.  Be on the safe side.

Vivian yes find a doctor to be checked over. It could be stress related, but be safe than sorry. I (we) all care about you and David. You won't be any good for him if you are sick.

Have you tried visiting nurses for an aide to come in a few times a week to give you a break? Girl you need rest and too take of yourself.

    hugs and prayers Sue

    The others said it best

Viv, stress is an unbelievable and silent destroyer of ones health. Stress was getting the best of me and on the advice of my medical team, a shrink and my wife, I quit my job and retired. I was fortunate that at 48 I had enough money to par down my bills so we could live on my wife's income. This is still a huge adjustment for me as I am as type A as one can be and have made a great living, so "getting off the grid" is hard on my ego, but honestly, it is what is best for me and my family right now. I must say based on reading your posts, you are way past "system overload" which is not good for you, and will not be good for David. You can only do so much, and when you have used up your energy bank for the day and are running on fumes, you are mentally and physically killing yourself. Sorry for being so blunt, but that is what my support team told me. I am currently in remission for a second battle with the beast, and was told for all the good the treatment was doing, working and traveling 60-80 hours a week was erasing all of the good. If I am understanding your posts, it appears you are almost all David has for a caretaker?? If there are others that can help, or should step up and help, identify them and make them commit. If not, see what resources are available for either skilled care, or basic "babysitter" type care so you can get the break we all know you need. Again, sorry for the "in your face" reply, but that is what it took for me to make the changes I made. PM me if you want to talk.

    Better safe than sorry!

    Vivian,

Peace of mind can cure many things. Yesterday at work I started getting chest pains. It felt like my heart. It eventually eased up but came back last night. I ended up going to the ER to get checked out. Everything was normal. As calm as I seemed to have been the last few weeks, my body was telling me otherwise and the symptoms I felt were attributed to stress. Just knowing everything was normal with my heart was huge!

I've read your posts. To say you have a lot on your plate is an understatement. Please see your doctor. You need to take care of you in order to take care of David.
