jan 26th i had  pet/ct scans. (i was dx dec 2010 with sigmoid cancer-stage 3. i had surg & then 12 tx of folfox6 from jan-july 2011.  june 2012 i was dx with metastatic tumors in the liver, 2 abd, right ovary & lots of tumors in the peritoneal). i completed 12 tx of folfiri with avastin jan 2nd 2013. the scans showed no cancer in the liver & abd. just 1 place in the peritoneal where the ovary is. the ovary increased from 6cm to 8-10cm so now the onc thinks the ovary has a cyst & not cancer. that would be great!!! i have another ct scan feb 5 & i will see the onc surg later that day to discuss surg. he is still rec hipec. gary & i were so happy with the results!!! i would like hipec info.  thank you everyone for the support i have received since i joined.

hugs

    Judy,

I have no personal experience with HIPEC but I came across a blog a bit back about a woman that had the surgery and I found her entries very interesting regarding the actual surgery prep and surgery and her recovery.  Start at the first entry of http://www.wunderglo.com/.  Also, there are a number of people over at ColonClub that have had HIPEC and a search of that message board will lead to some good results and potential contacts there.

    All the best Judy,

    Amy
