    Thanks Lisa!

Thank you so much for the prayers. I have received so many calls confirming the surgery I think it will definitely be a go this time!'

I think I am more nervous than last time or I have had too much time to think! I found myself lingering on my job before I left today making sure everything was in order, and then vasilating between thinking 'will this be the last time I see this place?' to 'thank God I will have some time off from the stress!'

I have been spending alot of times researching the board so I am somewhat 'educated' on whatever results I may get as well as reading as many books, etc. on dietary and lifestyle changes I will need (an now... WANT) to make!

I am going to try to lay off all this stuff over the weekend b/c I think it has been too intense and is contributing to the nervousness.

If I can get through the hour ride to the hospital Monday morning, through the check-in procedure, and that dreaded elevator ride I think will be okay...lol...

I swear...who dreads getting on an elevator more than surgery....especially CANCER surgery? ME, that's who! LOL...

Like you, I will be back on the boards ASAP. The support and comraderie has been awesome and you do not evven have to pay for it!

Take care & focus on your early recovery!

    Good luck

You can do it, Kathy.  With all the other things you've had to deal with, this surgery probably won't even compare.   You've got the right stuff!

the surgery, which we all have had, is much easier than being in labour and having a baby!!!

This weekend try to pamper yourself and be pampered by others

Do your favourite things to get your mind off everything  eg go out to dinner, to a movie, etc

I wish you all the best,

kathy I agree on the surgery.  I had it on 12/12/12 (what a date ugh!)  You will do fine.  I also have this feeling that things will be just fine with you like they were with Lisa.  This is your time to have things done for you and welcome it with open arms.  I look forward to hearing from you next week

take care and put yourself first and enjoy some time this weekend

    Good Luck!

I know I tended to over think my surgery, when in the end it was fine.  I actually enjoyed the pampering while in hospital.

Take care of yourself and when you're home recovering, have others wait on you...you deserve it!

Kathy good luck with your surgery

Hope you had a good weekend.  Will be thinking of you as  you have your surgery.  Hope you have a very low stage and grade.  In peace and caring.

    Good luck, Kathy

I hope that it all goes well for you on Monday.  We've all been there, we remember how we felt - so we know something about how you must be feeling, but please take comfort from the fact that we all came through it OK.

The word to remember most of all is - gently - for everything - moving, dressing, turning, walking - you name it, you should do it gently for the first few weeks!  Sounds obvious, but as soon as you gain some strength and start to feel stronger, there is such a temptation to think "oh, I'm OK now" - but it takes a while to heal inside, so listen to your body.  Oh - one more thing - be helpless - enjoy the things that other people want to do for you!

    Fingers and toes crossed

    different chemo options

I dont know how to open a new topic:

Does anyone have any experience with more than 2 different chemos...1st 2 not effective, try another

I feel fine, except for fatigue, and get results of my CT scan tomorrow

Am trying to fight off the high anxiety, by telling myself that if the Doxil does not appear to be working (after only 4 doses)  they will try another chemo...?Gemzar ?etc...other chemos I have seen on this site....I do know my oncologist is continuing the Avastin, which I am tolerating well

Please give me any experiences you have had with more than 2 chemos for treatment/ recurrence, etc

ps please advise me how to post this as a new topic

    Thanks,

    Beila

How to post a new topic.

Beila, go to the main page of Uterine Cancer (where you can see a list of all the topics) and near the top, it will say:

    Uterine Cancer

    Post new Forum topic

Then just click on the link - think of a good title and you can proceed. Also, if you know how to copy and paste you can take your message above, copy it over and then make any necessary edits.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks Everyone

    Hello Ladies!

I came thru surgery very well yesterday. Was back in my room by 3pm after the 3 hour surgery with minimal pain &  soreness.Walked a little last night. Am having some vaginal pressure like a bad UTI, but they told me that is due from a small tear in the vagina from the uterus being bigger than expected!

Will be going home by noon today so I am looking forward to my own bed. Wanted to let everyone above know it was not as bad as I feared...Was easier than childbirth like Beila said & considering I had c- sections sections that' s saying something!

Will post more as I feel up to it...

Delighted that things went so well, Kathy.  Take it easy.  You may feel good but your innards have plenty of healing to do.

I'm so glad all went well! Welcome Home to leisure land!

You now have a license to be laid back and doing nothing. Unfortunately you had to join this club to get it. Rest and keep the TV remote and a good book close by.
