prayers needed

My husband diagnosed with Stage IV with liver mets only in August 2012  is nearing the end.  He cancer did not respond to two different types of chemo, lesions on liver keep growing, tumour markers keep rising to very high levels.  I have bought him home to care for him, he is very weak and not eating and drinking very little.  Has lost over 20kilos in the 5 months since diagnosis, almost confined to bed now.  we have not had a break since being diagnosed, seems so unfair, he was a very fit and healthy 62y.o. prior to this ghastly aggressive disease.   Please pray for Frank to have a peaceful journey as I do not want him to suffer anymore it breaks my heart and though i know I will be distraught when the time comes, I just want him at peace.   Thank you for all the info and support during my short time on this site.   My wish to all EC sufferers is that you never lose hope in trying to beat this terrible disease.

May he have no pain and a peaceful transition

    Loraine,

You and Frank will be in my prayers. I am glad he will be at home as he completes the final part of his journey with this disease. I know it is difficult to watch someone you love go through the changes and challenges of fighting cancer. Frank is fortunate to have a loving advocate with him at this time. Praying for no pain and a peaceful transition.

    So sorry to hear this...
I will also be praying for a peaceful, painless transition. Will you have help from hospice? I hear they work wonders with pain management. Hang in there, Lorraine. You are in my thoughts and prayers, too!

prayers needed - now my husband has passed

sadly i have to advise that my dear husband passed away early this morning at home.  it was lovely to have him at home rather than in the hospital.  This cruel diseased only gave him 5 months from diagnosis.  He fought a gallant battle, never complained, never got angry just tried his best to beat it.  He was a very brave man, very humble and loved by so many.  It has been comforting posting on this site, reading of the plights of many sufferers, i will you all success in trying to beat this terrible type of disease and keep the hope going.
