Here I am

Hello Dearhearts,

I will make this brief, just in case the site starts to fail. I have had a heck of a time getting through, so mostly I have just read the posts, not logging in.

Belated Happy New Year Everyone!

I miss you all so much and sure hope that this site gets its' act together soon. I have really needed you all. I hope everyone is feeling as good as possible. I'm still trying to feel some amount of good. It can be so elusive.

The wedding details are closing in and all the major events are fast approaching.  Yesterday was the deadline for guests to send back their reply. Still don't have close to 40! Ugg. I hope they show up soon. Still have lots to do and the effort it takes to remember things is huge. Hopefully I will have some photos to share.

A bit of positive for me. I went to the bridal makeup artist trial for my daughter and talked with the gal about what can be done for me. I look at least ten years older than I did last summer and I am pale as a ghost and look like I have not slept in a very long time.  Are you starting to get a visual... Anyways, she said that with her makeup tricks, false eyelashes and airbrush magic she can make me look happy, healthy,  young and fabulous. Just what any overly fatigued, stressed out and in pain mother of the bride needs. She is now officially hired! I need all the help I can get. Being mother of the bride is no easy job. And of course my daughter wants me to look good too. So she will do both of us. Money well spent!

I will keep trying to log on and keep you all posted. Between all the crazy doings around here and all the other stuff, it is hard.

Hugs to all

Lisha

    Happy new year!

Let it begin on a positive note. Seems to me that anytime that you can look better, you will also feel better, so might as well get that makeover. Yes, people do tend to hold off until the last moment to return thosr RSVPs - human nature, I guess. When weddings are supposed to be happy occasions, it does seem that they can produce a lot of stress just to make them happen at all. The buildup of last things does not help, which is why if anyone invited is reading this, get that RSVP back! I hope you feel better even before your new look appears.

    Thanks Liz,

Just finding out we can do certain things with this version.  I think I read somewhere the old version allowed to paste images,

etc. directly into your reponses but it got turned off.  I can see how easily it could be abused.  You know me, expressive Laughing.

    There you are...

There's my Libra friend! I was wondering how you were doing with all of the wedding plans. You will look beautiful no matter what dear lady, so don't even worry about it. The makeup lady will be a great help and if she makes you feel better about yourself, then it will be worth it. I have days when I look in the mirror and say "Wow"...I have definetely aged since this cancer diagnosis and treatments. It is what it is though, so I try not to focus so much on "what I look like" and more on "how I'm feeling"! Try to stay strong and let us know "more often" how you are doing. The site is super slow forsure since the upgrade, but today I lucked out and have been able to catch up without getting timed out...(knock on wood). Love you...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Hi Sweetie

    Dear Lisha,

Me too. I am having such a terrible time getting to this site. I can understand how you worry about your apprearance. I am sure, it's not as bad as you make it to be. The most important thing is for you to be pain free, and having some sort of normalacy in your life. I too look in the mirror and see the changes. We are getting older. After being dx with cancer, I just want to be cancer free, and enjoy each day. I think I dress fairly well, and I always put on makeup before leaving the house.

I know when the time comes, you will certainly enjoy your daughter's wedding. Love Maggie
