    PEG complete....
Got the PEG today and all went well. I was concerned due to the excessive swelling in the mouth/throat and hoping there were no complications going down. Thank God.

Now we just have to learn how to work this thing. Home health nurse coming tomorrow night for instructions.

Thank you all for helping me/us through this. So glad the two procedures (PICC & PEG) are over with this week. Tomorrow is the end of week 4! 3 left!

Good luck with PEG tube. Hope he will be feeling better from nutrition and fluids. You are one week ahead of us. We just received 2nd chemo today and 15th radiation.

I'm so happy you've got a Home Health nurse coming in.....
if you're anything like me, you'll be chuckling at yourself for being so nervous about the damned thing (it creeped me out, and I was scared to death something would go wrong, that I'd do something to hurt it, etc)....terrified I'd plug it up...my fears were endless. She will put your mind at ease.

Then the nurse came and showed me how to flush it, and she poured food down it...that took about 10 minutes...LOL.
