Hey Kim, thanks for your thoughts, they put in a power port and gave me a prescription for some numbing cream to put on before i go into have my iv treatment. i am a little sore but not bad. :) it is kind of like i just slept wrong on it last night. They said i couldnt take a shower for 24 hrs so i have the blue/green antibacteria stuff all over my neck and chest still. My brother was saying that i stated to look like the increadable hulk because i was green :) Thanks for thinking about me today it means a lot when you know people are thinking about you :) tell me a little about your situation if you dont mind? i would like to know :)

    Good
Glad it all went well for you. That's normal about not getting it wet. Well with all that green all over you you are right in season for Halloween :) Glad you got the Lidocane it really helps and remember not to rub it in and just put a bandaid over it (so it doesn't rub off) until infusion time, about 45 minutes to an hour before infusion. If you click on my name it will pull up my profile. Glad you got the Power Port thats a good one.

    Hey Kim,

    No
Not very much but that was in conjunction with radiation which was harder on me. Can't remember what mg it was but took it in the morning and evening. You should make sure you put a lot of lotion on hands and feet because it will affect those and it's better to start doing that right away. Thanks, hope my profile helped. Are you doing radiation?

    Not sure
I am not sure if Radiation is something that we are going to do or not. My Onc hasnt really talked about it much. i think that we are focusing on one thing at a time and currently it is the chemo. Yeah, the nurse told us to go out and by some kind of lotion, the kind that you have to actually dip your hands in, not the squirt kind. My mom knew exactly what they were talking about so she go some when she was at Costco. have to love Mom's :) it will be a challenge for me to put lotion on because i dont like the feel of it but i am pretty sure i wont like the redness and pain of not doing it either :)
