    Wonderful moments...
    Hi DaddysGirl,
I'm so glad you were able to have some wonderful moments with your dad. Some people don't even get to be near loved ones when they pass away, as was the case with both my mom and dad. I wish so much I could have been by their side at the end. Anytime you need to talk or want to share your feelings, we will be here for you. God bless you...Sue

I'm so sorry you were not
I'm so sorry you were not with them Sue. At the end whatever God has plans that is what takes place and we ca only do so much and I'm sure if I was not meant to be around my Dad I wouldn't have been around 24 hrs with him for so many months now... He will still be with me 24 hrs a day till I take my last breath... My grandfather passed away when my Dad was 40 days old and yet my Dad was a wonderful Dad and a human being... When I mentioned moments I meant moments like ... We believe before ones passing, one sees it's place in the other world and they will react according to it... He was not responsive or talking was looking but not really looking toward the end and yet He made some remarkable comments that made us know He saw wonderful things and His grave will be a yard of heaven... My Dad truly was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face even with everything He was going through... My Dad when He was told He had hrs to days to live He wanted to go back home die and buried there, decision was made with so much things that had to go right, oxygen tanks 8 of them had to be on plane from over seas within hrs docs note etc, decision made like this mid afternoon and next morning we had to fly out amazingly everything worked if God wants it one way things have of a way working... Dad took a ride of 5 hrs testing if He can handle trip with tanks in car and giving treatments for breathing in car sooo hard.... I just wished for all of us to return back with my Dad to US and not live Dad there I prayed soooo hard but unfortunately He passed away third day there after seeing all bros sisters... Of course He was sick but still with smile... He traveled 10 hrs of flight then from airport to hospital to get checked out, doc there also said same thing that was said here plus He wouldn't touch the lung to even drain it... Went home and a new neighbor recalls Him smiling to her as He came out of the elevator... After everything going downhill within week even though had great sct and was so happy excited having gotten through sct... With going through such difficulties, trip having difficulty breathing nodules lymph nodes doubling in size within day or two my Dad was a person that could still smile and I know He must have prayed a lot for us and that is why we are as strong as we are considering everything we went through seeing everything ,y Dad went through how hard He tried pp half of his age may not have tried as hard and may have given up and it just hurts me so much after the positive attitude He had no matter what it had to end like this.. But then I say to myself all that is in favor of Him with God because He never gave up, He tried to take care of the body God gave Him by going to doctors following their recommendations and praying always He did what God would have wanted Him to do and He never complained He always thanked God and never eve once said why me... There's so much I can say and tell and I'm not even sure if what I'm saying is making sense to anyone... I will end it here and leave it for later and I apologize from Mike and others for taking such a wonderful news thread and filling it with my confusing sad message...

    Congratulations CoachMike
Great news ! I am new to CSN. I had Hodgkin's lymphoma Stage 4. my stem cells were harvested. After over a year of Chemo I was admitted to the hospital last November for the high dose Beam chemo and my stem cell transplant.
My CT scan last month came out clean. No sign of the cancer! Phrase God ! Now I need to get my head right and get back to work and normal life.

    Coach Mike

So happy for you. My oncologist mentioned that I may want to think about a transplant, but at my age and reading what all is involved I don't think my poor, tired body could take all that all that is required. But, again I am so happy for all that has positive outcomes. Bless you all!

    Stem Cell Transplant
I would not say that the whole Stem Cell thing was a piece of cake, but in my case it was needed because of the stage of my cancer. My doc was very good about adjusting the doses so that my body could take the chemo more comfortably. I am 56 years old and my body too has seen a lot of aches and pains. please be sure to check out all your options. Best wishes Bulldog.
