Fat grafting

Ok. I have a stupid question. Please tell me that I am not going insane here. I have had silicone implants put in and fat grafting from my belly to my breasts. Hasn't anyone with fat grafting experienced a gross gurgling sound and will it go away? It is like the fat is moving when I bend or lay down. I am a little grossed out.

    Hi Cheryl!
I had my fat grafting last Fridaybut had the fat taken from my thighs. the first 2-3 days I heard a little fluid but figured it was a little swelling from the surgery. I had my nipples done at the same time. 6 days later I don't hear it.

I had my first fat grafting from my thighs in March, and I have another planned for the end of this month, but I never heard anything! I'm having my nipples done in December, is it worth it? I'm still on the fence, but my husband and doctor say I'll regret it if I don't.

    Finally called my doctor office.........
Nurse said the fat hasn't settled and that us why I have the compression bra and pads on. She said it will go away. I am way too in tune with my body. I heard my expanders turning around. It was gross too. I just wanted to know if this was permanent cause it isn't very sexy. Maybe I am doing too much and need to chill out some more. I am off for 2 weeks after all. You guys are great for responding. Thank you for sharing. Don't let people pressure you into nipples. I had mine grafted and not tattooed. I like them so far, but I debated also. We will see how they turn out. Research the options. It is simply cosmetic.

    Fat Grafting
How do they do the fat grafting? Is is by cutting and inserting or by sunctiong and injecting? What is the recovery time? I had my left side lifted, but my implant side still has more on top and the left is still droopier. I pretty much decided I don't want more surgery at this time. But maybe they could make them more even by this procedure.

    Hi Deb
they made 2 punctures on each of my thighs & suctioned the fat out, cleaned it & then injected it. I have to wear this compression suit for 2 weeks. My legs are a little sore when I take it off. I had my nipples done at the same time so it's 2 weeks until I get those stitches taken out. I was under a lighter general anesthesia but if you are just getting the grafting done then maybe you can get local. it's not bad but I have had a few major surgeries in my 42 years so this was a walk in the park. Hopefully my last surgery. so tired of laying on the table staring up at the lights. you know? I

I had heard of this, but,
I had heard of this, but, didn't know how they did it. You have to wear a compression suit on your legs because they took the fat from your thighs? Is it really painful? Is there a long recovery? Sorry if these are dumb questions ~~ I just don't know a lot about it.

    Thanks,

    Not so bad
It's not so bad. I had my first done in February after my mastectomy in December. They did it under general and I was out for about an hour. It's basically a mini-liposuction...very mini : ) I'm going in for another at the end of this month, just to fill in the "nooks and crannies" and get a little lift at the same time. They did it on a Friday morning, and I was back to work on Monday. A bit sore for a week, but lots of bruising from the outside of my hips to my knees. I had to wear "bike shorts" for the first week and pants for about three weeks to cover the bruises. I figured after all I'd been through, this was nothing!

    Thanks for the info
I'll have to talk to my PS about this as an alternative to another surgery. This doesn't sound as bad as being cut open again. Maybe they can take out more fat and just throw away the leftovers!
