    I'm doing better.
Thank you for asking about me Joyce. I received an infusion of Ixempra last Friday with the dose reduced by 25% and I was taken off of Xeloda temporarily. So far the side effects are not nearly as bad as the August 16th infusion. I'm starting to feel the bone and joint pains and I've definitely felt better but I've also felt much much worse. I just hope the dosage was enough to convince the cancer cells to give up on me. I don't want to quit fighting but I also don't like feeling bad all the time. I think I'm due for a PET scan soon to see how things are going. I hope you are doing well.

    HUGS!!!

I'm glad you are feeling better!
You sound like your doing better too, just by reading your post! I have been concerned for you and thinking about how you've been feeling, as I'm sure the other pinks have been too......At times you want to quit fighting, but remember the feeling "yucky" part is temporary while going thru treatment...so please stay focused and try to take walks, listen to your favorite music, or even just shop on-line.....anything to keep your spirits up! I've read the book "Crazy,Sexy Cancer Tips" a couple times, it always gives me a little pick me up.

We'll pray for a good PET scan, so please let us know when that is. Also, when feeling real sick and yucky, it's important to stay connected with others if possible. This site always helps me both mentally and physically...

Try not to beat yourself up, just set small daily goals, like a 5 min walk, or unload the dishwasher. Then reward yourself! Somedays that's just all we can do.

Take good care of yourself and talk to you soon,
    Hugs,Joyce

    This is such good news!
I am so glad your Oncologist listened to you and made this change. You were rock bottom in depression and pain, and this now seems do-able. I am linked with you too Jamie, hoping for a good report from that next PET scan!
