Hi All

After 2 cycles of extreme whole body hyperthermia and FOLFIRI in Germany, it appears my tumour markers are heading south. Here's hoping that they keep going DOWN!
Some info http://www.coloncancerandyouth.com.au/easyblog/feedback-and-thankyou

cheers

That is great news! I wish I could get hyperthermia treatmets in USA. What all does it involve? I have thought about sitting in a suana several times a week but is that enough? Do they give you warm fluids too? what do they do? Does anyone know if ther is some place in USA where you can get this.

    hipec?
i do not know if the tx he got was hipec or if it was something else. i will prob have hipec. i live in the us. there are several places that do it. it is called the moas- mother of all surgeries- as it is a very hard surgery on the body. you can google it to learn more. i will go to university of cincinnati, ohio. i checked out ohio state u & cleveland since all are in my area. i will go to cincinnati bc i live 45 min away & hospital stay is usually 14 days if there are no complications.there are sevaral places here in the us that so this surg. the surg is not for everyone due to what type of ca you have & situation. my surg onc did tell me that overall you need to meet requirements regarding over all body health. if your heart, kidneys or lungs are not strong he said he would not do the surg. if you have any more questions just let me know. i could give you more details on this as i have researched this but it will be better to google it. some sites have a film on it. goodluck
